JEE Advanced 2020/IIT JEE Advanced 2020: Exam Dates, Eligibility, Application Form, Exam Pattern : The national level screening Joint Entrance Examination – Advanced (JEE-Advanced 2020) is held every year on rotational basis by one of the 7 zonal Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) (IIT Kharagpur, IIT Delhi,IIT Roorkee, IIT Kanpur, IIT Madras, IIT Guwahati and IIT Bombay). It is formerly known as IIT-JEE exam which is conducted under the guidance of the Joint Admission Board (JAB).

Candidates who clear the exam with get admissions into Bachelor’s, Integrated Master’s and Dual Degree programs. The main aim of the exam is to provide admission into 23 IITs, including the Indian Institutes of Technology, CFTIs, NITs etc. JEE Advanced 2020 common entrance exam is going to be held on May 17, 2020 by IIT Delhi and the application form will be available on 02 May 2020 (Tentative).Through JEE Advanced, applicants can obtain admissions into following courses:

  • 4-years Bachelors – BTech, BS
  • 5 years-BArch
  • 5 years Dual Degree – BTech, MTech, BS, MS
  • 5-year Integrated Masters – MTech, MSc, Dual Degree

JEE Advanced 2020 Exam Dates/ IIT JEE Advanced 2020 Exam Dates:

  • JEE Advanced 2020 Online Registration/Application form:1st week of May 2020
  • JEE Advanced 2020 Online Registration Ends/Application form last date: 2nd week of May 2020
  • Last Date for Fee Payment: 2nd week of May 2020
  • JEE Advanced 2020 Admit Card: 3rd week of May 2020
  • JEE Advanced 2020 Exam Date:17th May 2020 (Paper 1: 9:00 am to 12:00 pm and Paper 2: 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm)
  • Response (copy) to be sent to the candidates: Last week of May 2020
  • JEE Advanced 2020 Answer Key: Last week of May 2020
  • JEE Advanced 2020 Results:8th June 2020
  • Online registration of Architecture Aptitude Test (AAT):2nd week of June 2020
  • JEE Advanced AAT examination date: 12th June 2020
  • JEE Advanced AAT Result 2020: 16th June 2020
  • Counselling or Start of counselling registration or Seat Allotment starts on17th June 2020
  • Last date for seat allotment: 3rd week of July 2020

JEE Advanced 2020 Application Fee/ JEE Advanced 2020 Registration Fee / IIT JEE Advanced 2020 Exam Fee:

Candidates can pay their application fee through Online/Offline mode and the examination fee various for Indian National candidates and Foreign Nationals.  They can pay the fee via Net Banking/Credit/ Debit Cards or E-Challan of State Bank of India (SBI) and fee once paid cannot be refunded.

Registration Fee for Examination Centers in India:

Indian Nationals (including PIO/OCI):

  • Female Candidates (all categories) Rs: 1300
  • SC, ST, PwD Candidates: Rs: 1300
  • All Other Candidates: Rs: 2600

Foreign Nationals:

  • Applicants from SAARC countries: USD 160
  • Applicants from Non-SAARC countries: USD 300

Registration Fee for Examination Centers outside India:

Indian Nationals (including PIO/OCI):

  • All India Nationals USD 160

Foreign Nationals

  • Applicants from SAARC countries: USD 160
  • Applicants from Non-SAARC countries: USD 300

JEE Advanced 2020 Eligibility Criteria/ IIT JEE Advanced 2020 Eligibility Criteria:

Candidates who are willing to apply for JEE Advanced 2020are advised to check eligibility details carefully before applying.

Age Criteria: There is no age limit for JEE Advanced 2020.

Number of Attempts: Applicants can appear for two times in two consecutive years.

Qualifying Exam: Candidate should pass 10th class and Intermediate (+2) or equivalent exam with a minimum of 75% aggregate marks and 65% for SC/ST/PWD category from a recognized board in 2019 and are appearing for the exam in 2020.

Mandatory: It will be mandatory to appear in JEE Main 2020 for applying JEE Advanced 2020.

Qualifying JEE Main 2020: Applicants need to be among the top 2,25,000 (including all categories) in Paper-1 of JEE Main 2020. The category-wise distribution of top 2,45,000 candidates is listed below:

JEE Advanced 2020 Reservation Policy: As the Central Government runs the seats in various institutes, they provided a reservations system with a percentage for candidates belonging to different categories.

  • Seats allotted to foreign nationals with a cap of 10%reservation
  • Other Backward Class (OBC) – NCL (Non-Creamy Layer) 27% reservation
  • Scheduled Caste (SC) 15% reservation
  • Scheduled Tribe (ST) 7.5% reservation
  • Persons with Disabilities (PwD) 5% reservation
  • Open – 50.5%

JEE Advanced 2020 Exam Pattern

JEE Advanced 2020 has two pattern of papers which are completely different from each other, Paper I (B.E./B.Tech) and Paper II (B.Arch/B.Planning).

Exam Mode: JEE Advanced 2020 is an Online Examination (Computer Based Test)

Time Duration: You have 3 hours of time to complete the examination

Type of Questions: Objective Type / MCQ questions.

Language of questions: Question paper will be in English and Hindi

Number of Subjects: Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics with two sets of paper (Paper I and Paper II)

Marking: Marks vary according to papers.

JEE Advanced 2020 Architecture Aptitude Test (AAT) (Paper 2) ExamPattern:

Exam Mode: Architecture Aptitude Test (AAT) is an Online Examination (Computer Based Test)

Time Duration: You have 3 hours of time to complete the examination

Type of Questions: Objective Type / MCQ questions.

Language of questions: Question paper will be only in English

Number of Subjects: Mathematics, Aptitude Test and Drawing Test.

  • Drawing Test 2 (Questions)           70(Marks)

JEE Advanced 2020 Application Form/ How to apply for IIT JEE Advanced 2020/ How to Fill JEE Advanced Application Form 2020:

JEE Advanced 2020 Application Form will be available from 1st week of May 2020 and the applicants need to fill all the necessary details via online mode through the official website.

Step 1 – Registration:

Applicants need to register on the portal of JEE Advanced 2020 through the official website by proving necessary details such as username, email address, mobile number etc. Once your registration is successfully an Email will be sent to the registered email address. You need to click on link sent to the Email to activate the account.

Step 2 – Filling of JEE Main Application Form:

Candidate need to select the choice of course (Paper 1 or Paper 2) for the examination.All the personal and contact details will be updated automatically from registration. You need to enter all the mandatory details such as:

  • Name of the Candidate
  • Date of Birth
  • Gender
  • Aadhaar Card Number/Enrollment number
  • Birth District
  • Birth State
  • Annual Income of Parents
  • Caste Category
  • Minority/Non-Minority
  • Bank Details
  • Address
  • Mobile Number
  • Email Id (Students need to provide a valid Email ID and password as all the details/ information will be sent to it)
  • Education Qualification
  • Select Stream/Entrance Exam
  • Select choice of the language of question paper
  • Mention the number of attempts
  • Select the language of exam
  • Upload a Scanned photograph and signature in the JPEG/JPG format.

Step 3: Upload Documents:

For verification purpose applicants need to submit scanned copies of all required documents:

  • 10th certificate (for Date of Birth verification)
  • Birth certificate
  • 12th or equivalent examination certificate
  • Category Certificate (If SC/ ST/ OBC-NCL)
  • PWD certificate if applicable
  • PIO/ OCI certificate if applicable.

Step 3 – Payment of Fee:

Application fee varies for candidates according to their location and category. Can pay via online using Net Banking/Credit/ Debit Cards or E-Challan of State Bank of India (SBI) if paying via offline mode. Details of applications fees are mentioned above.

Step 4: Printout of Acknowledgement Page:

Once the payment is done you can take a print of the acknowledgement page for future use.

JEE Advanced Accepting Colleges Other Than IITs:
